Mrs Takata

Mrs Takata had been advised to undergo surgery in Japan to address an illness. She asked the surgeon if there was another way of treating her condition and that led her to Dr Hayashi's Reiki Clinic.

Her training in Reiki One and Reiki Two took a year to complete, after which she returned to Hawaii. In 1936 Dr Hayashi came to Hawaii on a speaking tour to promote Reiki. During this trip he completed Mrs Takata's training as a Reiki Master.
